The backwater venues are almost all approached from a jetty rather than a driveway, so the load-in is planned with the property in advance.

Cruising stops around sunset and the boat stays anchored until morning, which means the party happens where the boat stops — and that the bar has to be complete before it does. A houseboat is the best room in Kerala and the most awkward bar Cordial builds. Deck space is measured in feet, the galley is already busy with the boat's own kitchen, power comes off a generator that is also running the air conditioning, and nothing can be topped up once the boat leaves the jetty. So the setup is planned backwards from those facts: a compact counter rather than the full sixteen-foot build, ice and mixers loaded for the entire service window with margin, unbreakable service where the deck demands it, and a team sized to the boat rather than to the guest list.
For a group across two or three boats — the usual shape of a bachelor send-off — the counter goes on the boat the group will actually gather on, and the crew serves from there while the convoy is moored together. Yes, and it is planned around what the boat can actually carry. The crew builds at the jetty before boarding, brings a compact counter rather than the full-length build, loads ice, mixers and glassware for the entire service window with margin, and works to the boat's own generator rather than assuming a spare socket. The houseboat moors at sunset — does the bar stop then?
No. Cruising stops in the evening and the boat stays anchored until morning, so the celebration happens where the boat stops rather than while it moves. Can you serve a group spread across two or three boats?

Yes. Beach villas and homestays behind Marari, resorts and private jetties across the lake at Kumarakom, and house celebrations and receptions in Alleppey town itself are all a normal setup rather than a boat one. The backwater properties are usually approached from a jetty rather than a driveway, so the load-in is agreed with the property in advance.
Do you supply the alcohol, or does the host?
Host-Managed Alcohol is the default and carries no additional cost: you arrange the alcohol and Cordial plans the service, mixers, garnish, glassware and bar operations around it. Alcohol Availability Facilitation is an optional ₹18,000 support option where the team helps arrange availability based on your request and the applicable regulatory requirements. How far in advance should I book bartenders for an event?
As soon as the date is fixed. Wedding season and the year-end weekends fill first, and a date is only held once Cordial confirms availability against the booking. The Bar Configuration itself takes about two minutes and reserving early costs nothing — there is no payment to enquire, and the details of the night can be personalised right up to the event.
